My little things.

Here is a little oil can I glued some crystals to and just stuck a curled wire in to to hold a picture or whatever I want!  I liked it so much I made it my mission to buy oil cans for the rest of the fall antique shows.  Now I have to get busy and actually make some more of them.
Here is an embroidery that I did, really for my husband.  I had the pillowcases from a resale shop and since we like our guns I thought he would like this iron on pattern when I saw it.  It's kind of westerney for his taste but not for me.  I like Cowgirl Chic!

This is a real horseshoe.  I just cleaned it up, painted it and stuck some crystals on it.  I have lots more to do.  many different color schemes to choose from and lots of vintage jewelry to add to it.  Again, I just need to get busy.

St. Patricks Day decoratons

Here is the twig tree all decked out for st. Patricks Day.
This was a fun one to decorate for

Here are the little mantel decorations.  Not a lot here but I like the printed burlap ribbon again.
I am sad that I missed Easter decorating but the house was absolutely torn up and I couldn't even get to the tree until this last weekend.  We have been redecorating.

Valentines Day Decorations

Here is my little twig tree.  I plan on keeping it up year round.  This is Valentines day. So fun to play with.   I love the lights on at night.
Here is the Mantel with the Valentines Day decorations.

Here are some recent purchases!

Here are the latest purchases from the craft show and from Black Bird Primitives.  The darling little snowman and the tall black wooden box are from the craft show.  The muslin moon with the bats on it are from BBP.  Love that store!!!  Check it out if you haven't already.  It's just a mile or two north of N drive on Old 27.

Another rake project.

I've had this little rake for the longest time and couldn't decide what to do with it.  I had a thought to do something with some cinnamon twigs and burlap.  Then went with the jute and rusty tin shapes.  I am a sucker for moons, especially half moons.  It's so little I didn't want to do too much to it.

Another recent project.

I just got a "bright" idea to wrap this old rake I've had stashed away in a corner with some leaves and lights.  Then I just wound a homespun ribbon down through the wrapping.  I like how it turned out pretty well.  It's nicer in the evenings when it's getting darker sooner now.

Just finished painting this.

I finally finished this little project.  It kept bugging me.  I got the wood a long time ago at a yard sale and thought "I could paint something on that"!  It was just in my stash for a long time.  Then I just decided to use it up.  Now I have the bug again, must be the time of year.  I'll post pics of what I got at the craft show at Cornwells and a side trip to Black Bird Primitives (one of my very favorite stores in the world).  Hope you like it.

This is an old door knob and a pretty yellow door plate with a brass handle that I found and Dwayne mounted it on an old piece of barn wood from our old barn!  It's just one of the things we like to repurpose.

These are two pictures I did on screens.  I did them quite a long time ago but I really like them still and I also really like to paint on screen because it's so interesting to see how it will look.
These are the two cutting boards and the little ladder that I bought at the primitives show in Angola IN.

Well, I've gone and done it!!

Well my friends, I've taken the leap and started a blog.  My friend Mary has been urging me to for some time now and I just didn't think I had anything interesting enough to say that the world at large wanted to hear.  I probably don't but the curiosity has finally overtaken my reluctance and so here we are.  I will put some pictures on here of projects as they come along and new goodies I get from all my treasure hunts.  November 13, 2010 was the Pig-In-A-Poke Primitives show.   This year it was in Angola, IN.  Normally it is in Nashville, MI.  I got a few things.  Two old cutting boards and a cute little handcrafted ladder to hang goodies from.  What goodies I don't know yet but that's the fun part!  My friend Melanie went with me and it was fun to introduce her to the world of Prim!  It gave me the urge to make things......  The season is right for it too.  So many ideas and so little time.  Please let me know what you are making these days.
